Thai Dusit Description
A welcome ethnic addition to Coventry's slenderly endowed culinary charms. Thai restaurants vary considerably in their Thai-ness but Dusit does have a particularly authentic feel to it, with its friendly staff and exceptionally good value for money. Set lunches on weekdays come out of the kitchen at an incredible £3.95, nor are they compromise jobs. The banquets, so often a feature, start from £15. The wine list is perfectly adequate and there is the usual range of those ethnic lagers and beers that seem a pleasantly inescapable part of the process. Parking is blissfully easy and you can count on a hassle-free and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I took my partner there for his birthday. We ordered champagne, which was prepared for us with chilled glasses and served throughout the meal by smiling, friendly staff. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived as we were a little early, but it soon picked up by about 8:30pm. The music was delightful, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm, and the food was something else. Beautiful attention to detail in each of the courses, particularly the Thai Dusit platter for two, and the food was fresh, hot and full of flavour. It’s a must for anyone wishing to dine in Coventry, whatever the occasion or lack of it.

This was a very busy place, which I always think is a good thing. The food was fresh, fast to arrive and tasty. Definitely a good Thai meal. The only downside, I would say, is that the outside and inside make it look a little drab and off putting to some people.
