My friend booked a table for 35 people. Contacted her one week before the event saying it had been cancelled because she decided she may be selling the restaurant. Went back to get £50 deposit and she was very reluctant. Eventually gave money back with moody face and said the reason she cancelled the booking was because she was toying with the idea of turning it into a Thai supermarket.

Offered no apologies and when I told her that what she had done was an enormous inconvenience during the Xmas period, she screamed at us in front of a full restaurant and told us we were nasty and we were never welcome back. She then proceeded to hound us out physically, screaming abuse.

Have eaten there before. Average Thai food at inflated Burton Road prices. People tend to go there to see her sing Elvis songs and attention is therefore drawn away from the food. Yes, she is Crazy Wendy but not always in a nice way. If you want a decent Thai meal, go elsewhere. If you want Cabaret, go elsewhere. If you are responsible for booking a large event and do not want to be let down, go elsewhere.

My experience of Thai-E-Sarn was indeed a very bad and disappointing one. I felt like I was just money to them and the customer service was nonexistent. I would strongly and am actively putting people off visiting that place. Their money could definitely be spent better elsewhere and Crazy Wendy doesn't even seem to be in a good enough mood to have a laugh!
