Thai Elephant - Leamington Spa

I went to the Thai Elephant on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend; we had booked in advance as we knew it would be busy on this day. When we got there we had to wait to be seated as it was very busy, but only for about 5 minutes, which we used to get a drink. We were taken to our table which was a lovely hand crafted piece of art. It was a seat next to the window, and we had all the green plants around us. It was a very nice setting. We had a starter and a main course, and the food was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The total cost came to about £50 with drinks, which is expensive, but the quality of service and food was great. We would definitely go again.

My wife and I went for a meal last week to the Thai Elephant in Leamington Spa and will not be going back. We waited for 30 minutes and then were asked to come back, which we did, then told wait for another 30 minutes after we booked. When we did get seated downstairs we were sat near the waiter’s kitchen area, which meant all we heard was the staff giggling on their mobiles and laughing with each other. They took our order and forgot the drinks after I asked. Then they brought out someone else’s starter and tried to pass it off as ours. When we did ask for our starter they bought out the same dish. The food was not great either. The night was not great at all and the members of staff were lost as they had no clue on how to look after each table. We will not be going back, that’s for certain.
