Thai Orchid, The

The Thai Orchid in King's Lynn is the real thing all right; definitely not another mediocre Asian restaurant trying to ride the wave of Thai popularity and is a fantastic dining choice if you're on the lookout for some delicious and authentic Oriental food. The magnificent décor employs genuine artefacts imported from the Far East and the minute detailing right up to the colour of the napkins and the soft music in the background embellishes the atmosphere.

Apart from the à la carte menu, there's a buffet which is offered throughout the week with about 15 different dishes every day. Starters might refer to the deep fried prawns and vegetables in Thai butter served with sweet chilli sauce with a main course of a hot sizzler of beef with onions, mushrooms, peppers and spring onions. There are plenty of seafood dishes to hold your interest alongside salads, curries and noodles.
