Thai Pot

1 Bedfordbury, Covent Garden, London, WC2N 4BP

Thai Pot has now been successfully operating for over twenty years in the competitive environment of Covent Garden, this says something about both their quality and value for money. Thai food has been influenced by the cuisine of China and India but has evolved a distinctive style, which is continually being refreshed by new ideas. For example, Thai curries are not strictly speaking curries in the Indian sense. They are also lighter, relying on coconut derivatives rather than dairy products. As a typical meal you will taste a wide range of herbs in dishes like minced prawns and chicken flavoured with garlic, wrapped in rice paper sacks and deep fried, or fried mixed seafood flavoured with lemongrass, chilli, krachai and basil leaves.

The reliance on fresh herbs rather than spices is one of the reasons Thai food 'sits' lightly and is well accompanied by a variety of white and red wines.

REVIEWS OF Thai Pot

Denise (21 May 2007)

My friends and I are regulars at Thai Pot, there are millions of reasons to go but as they put in a lot of GOOD effort for clients, they deserved to be mentioned by me.

Good value for money food, great wine list for a medium size restaurant, service is really friendly (even when they are busy) and a great atmosphere. My friends and I also like their window display, which they change very often, giving the impression that you are going to a new restaurant every time. If you have never been and you like Thai food, this is definitely the venue to go to. It’s in the city anyway, also great for theatre or movies. Thank you Thai Pot for being there for us.
