Thai Sabai
24 Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1AF
Located in an area well known for Stilton cheese and pork pies, Thai Sabai comes as a pleasant surprise to the residents of Melton Mowbray. Owners David Sneath and Thitiya Kummas opened this restaurant to provide scrumptious Thai food to those who crave for a bit of authenticity. The décor is modern with streams of soft background music and aromas wafting from the kitchen, which add to the relaxed feel. The garden area with a beautiful water feature is fitting for an afternoon rendezvous. Those who find it hard to decide can choose a starter platter of chicken satay, fishcakes, spring rolls and crispy prawn wraps served with sweet chilli and peanut sauce. For mains try stir-fried pork slices served with jasmine rice, crispy vegetables and a sizzling sauce.Located in an area well known for Stilton cheese and pork pies, Thai Sabai comes as a pleasant surprise to the residents of Melton Mowbray. REVIEWS OF Thai Sabai
Brian (4 May 2011)
Ten of us from work went to the Thai Sabai last night. It is a wonderful restaurant and the food quality and quantity are excellent. The owners go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable meal. There are lots of choice on the menu, and vegetarian options are also available. The food arrived quickly and was of the highest quality. Some of our party hadn't experienced Thai food before, but we all enjoyed our meals. I, for one will definitely be returning and would highly recommend the Thai Sabai to anyone.
Chris and Annie (1 March 2011)
Thai Sabai is a great restaurant for an evening meal in very friendly surroundings with excellent food. Last Saturday, we popped in at lunchtime. We chose from their lunchtime menu this time but could have still chosen from their evening menu too. The 'fusion' dishes are interesting. I had the spaghetti, chicken and sweet chilli sauce - superb! Annie had a stir fried chicken and vegetable dish with rice - again superb and all with the same friendly service. I recommend a lunch time visit to Thai Sabai - you won’t be disappointed!
