Thai Square - Trafalgar Square Description
Situated right beside Trafalgar Square on Cockspur Street, this spacious Thai restaurant has plenty to recommend it. Firstly the building itself was originally an embassy hence its grandeur. Once inside there's a choice of a large ground floor or the equally spacious basement restaurant, both of which are decked out in soft hues of cream and gold with a host of Thai artefacts that lend an exotic feel, including a large golden Buddha. On the menu you'll find a wide choice of Thai dishes that are carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The classic Thai green curry is particularly good, as is the deep-fried lobster.

My wife and I had dinner at the Thai Square restaurant, Leicester Square last Saturday before going to see the Bolshoi Ballet at the Coliseum Theatre on the spur of the moment and having spotted it from the top of a bus. All the dishes we had were marvellous and exquisitely presented. The service by elegant young Thai ladies was impeccable and swift. My favourite London restaurant used to be Rules in Maiden Lane. No longer! From now onwards this is it!

The food here is excellent and the service pretty good. I haven't had a single poor dish yet, and I have eaten here many times, usually with clients.
