Thai Square - Windsor Description
In a picturesque location opposite Windsor Castle, this restaurant is a stunning example of the style for which the Thai Square group is known. A striking two-level design incorporates a large conservatory flooded with natural light and an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining, all surrounded by a discriminating selection of traditional Thai artefacts.
The food is delicious and authentic, with ingredients flown in fresh from Thailand, and can be adapted for milder palates. Their menu offers an extensive range of Thai favourites - delightful minced prawn, chicken, garlic and coriander root and chargrilled marinated spare ribs among other starters.
Innovative mains include a spicy chilled lamb along with traditional dishes and well-known coconut based curries. Vegetarians are also taken into consideration with preparations such as spicy stir fried mixed vegetables and poh pia tod, bean vermicelli, dried mushroom shredded cabbage and carrots filled in rice paper and deep-fried. There are white and red wines along with champagne to complement your food.

I went to Thai Square last Friday with the girls from work. The food was nice, but average, and the service was pretty poor. I don't think we saw our waitress smile even once. They got a couple of the orders wrong and tried to rush us. They didn't believe us when we said our coca cola was flat, which it obviously was, and made a big show of bringing out unopened cans of coke to our table to pour new drinks and didn't even apologise. Not impressed and will probably not go back there, but despite the poor service we did have a good night.

It was a very standard Thai restaurant. Take away was always much below their restaurant standard. Lovely back room and decor but food and service let it down. Given there was no other option in the area, it satisfies any Thai food cravings.
