The Admiral Codrington
17 Mossop Street, London, SW3 2LY
Although a pub with a large bar that has a bit of a reputation for appealing to Sloane Rangers and American tourists, the Admiral Codrington actually attracts a lot of its customers for its food, and an entry in the Michelin Guide confirms this fact. While snacks are available in the bar, the courtyard behind the pub has been covered over and converted to a restaurant, with a ceiling that can be opened when the weather is fine enough to dine al fresco. Their speciality is the Admiral cod baked with a soft herby crust and chive sauce. Even dishes like coq au vin, slow roasted lamb shoulder and confit Norfolk pork belly make delicious treats, followed by a savoury dessert like Welsh rarebit with toasted Irish soda bread.Although a pub with a large bar that has a bit of a reputation for appealing to Sloane Rangers and American tourists, the Admiral Codrington actually attracts a lot of its customers for its food, and an entry in the Michelin Guide confirms this fact.
