This is the most wonderful restaurant I have ever visited. The staff, food and atmosphere are out of this world. Incredible food is accompanied by incredible staff who are the kindest, most polite I have ever witnessed. I wish this place was nearer to home. It is one of England’s finest restaurants. I have eaten all over the world and none have beaten the Aldwark Arms. My fillet steak melted in my mouth and you shouldn’t be surprised that this place is fully booked most nights. Simply superb. Ten out of ten.

Upon entering the restaurant you feel confident of a delightful experience. The reception was friendly and the decor incredibly tasteful. The menu was enticing and displayed dishes for any taste. A small pot of parsnip soup with crispy parma ham was served as a tempting opening to the meal. My starter of blue cheese soufflé with pears and walnuts was stunning, followed by the steak and ale pie, homemade chips and mushy peas. The presentation was exquisite and the taste outstanding. I finished my meal with a sponge pudding with custard and a scoop of home made ginger ice cream. The entire meal was outstanding and I would definitely recommend the Aldwark Arms.
