This family run restaurant draws inspiration from the Algarve region in the South of Portugal. The décor is traditional and the mood is friendly and relaxing. Chef Fernanda has more than twenty years of experience in preparing Portuguese cuisine and her son-in-law Vitor welcomes and waits on customers making them feel at home. Cataplana, a stew cooked and served in a copper pan, is their speciality. Reasonably priced wines are offered by the bottle. If you have a sweet tooth, sample their popular caramel dessert called moulotof.Portuguese

We visited the Algarve bar and grill for my mum's birthday in August. The hospitality was second to none and the food was great too. The staff were very accommodating to the dietary requirements of my parents and made excellent suggestions for their orders. I would definitely re-visit and highly recommend dining at the Algarve.

It was a great place. I have been already three a few times since its opening on the seventh of July 2007. The quality has always been top notch - so far I've never had a bad surprise ordering from the (long) menu of Portuguese specialties. The Algarve Restaurant has a real friendly feel to it - always fairly busy and the owner is a real gem. There's a good mix of families, big tables, and a few people drinking at the bar. For food – there was really a lot to choose from. I suggest cataplana (Algarve speciality) - with a choice of seafood, fish or meats cooked on a pan beautifully crafted in copper. Desserts are all homemade and delicious.
