The Bolingbroke Pub and Dining Room is named in honour of Henry St. John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke, the brilliant politician and reckless rake. Whilst Henry was renowned for his hard drinking, innumerable affairs and wild escapades, this Northcote Road pub is a rather more refined local. The stunning glass roofed restaurant provides a light and airy day time setting,  turning into a romantic space in the evening where guests can dine under the stars.

Specialities here include delicious dishes such as manuka smoked duck breast with fennel, bitter leaves and an English blackberry salad, or ham hock terrine with parsley, olive and gherkin salad to set your meal off to a great start. You might also want to enjoy juicy grilled salt marsh lamb steak with anchovy and caper butter, and guinea fowl breast and confit leg mashed potato, creamed leeks and Madeira gravy. If you still have room, try the indulgent apple crumble with custard and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
