The Boot Room

27-29 Millstone Lane, Leicester, LE1 5JN

Perhaps, deriving its name from the industrial past of the building it's located in - once a shoe factory - The Boot Room provides a comfortable, relaxed and contemporary atmosphere to diners. Stylishly designed, it is owned by Stephen and Tracey Fitzpatrick, who also run The Joiners, one of the most successful gastropubs in Bruntingthorpe. Making good use of seasonal, fresh and quality ingredients, the kitchen creates simple yet unique and fine tasting dishes. From the à la carte, you may begin with mushrooms, duck fat toast and poached egg or chicken liver parfait with brioche and chutney. For the big event expect to see the likes of shank of lamb with chorizo cassoulet, roasted halibut with brown shrimp butter and skinny chips and Scottish dry aged sirloin steak with au poivre sauce.

REVIEWS OF The Boot Room

Smiffy (4 July 2011)

Three friends and I ate at the Boot Room on Saturday evening. We had a fabulous meal and one of my friends even commented that the souffle dessert was wonderful.

Mark (16 June 2011)

We ate at The Boot Room last night for my birthday. I can't praise it enough. It has friendly service and superb food. This is the restaurant that Leicester has needed for years. I will be back again soon.
