The Brasserie Fish

Water Front, Marina, Brighton, BN2 5WA

What catches your attention immediately is the  attractive glass façade, leading into a bright and spacious dining area on two levels, with subdued lighting and crisp white tablecloths. The restaurant has a wide view across the entire harbour and provides wonderful views at night. Seafood is the catch of the day and the menu is quite substantial. Starters include swordfish carpaccio dressed in citrovette with dill and sesame seeds, and Mediterranean crevettes, prawns served with avocado and Marie-Rose sauce. Move over to a platter of grilled mixed fish or oven baked Dover sole with thin slices of lemon and fennel drizzled with white wine and capers. Those who seek alternatives to fish can go for their polio con mozzarella or grilled medallions of fillet steak.

The bar menu features sevruga, a fine grained caviar with colour variation from dark grey to black, appreciated for its warm and salty flavour.

REVIEWS OF The Brasserie Fish

A Shaw (18 July 2008)

I ate in this fish restaurant and the mixed grill was very good. My partner had a fillet steak, which was very nice. They did not let us book outside.
