The Carpenters Arms
The Street, Eastling, nr Faversham, ME13 0AZ
The charming village of Eastling is situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the slope of the North Downs, and The Carpenters Arms is located in a lovely red brick and timbered building that faces the village church and dates back to 1380. The blackboard features favourites like bacon and bone marrow pie, slow cooked pork, and potted crab and pigeon terrine. From bread to bacon and cold smoked fish, most dishes are prepared in-house. The salt beef and horseradish coleslaw or roast saddle of hare with chestnuts, just the thing for two to enjoy, are other choices that never fail to delight. Desserts appear in the form of blood orange jelly and burnt cream, praline ice cream with hot chocolate custard, and apple sorbet and calvados. The charming village of Eastling is situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the slope of the North Downs, and The Carpenters Arms is located in a lovely red brick and timbered building that faces the village church and dates back to 1380.

REVIEWS OF The Carpenters Arms
Martin (Netherlands) (13 December 2010)
The owner ‘saved’ us by accommodating us when every table was fully booked. The atmosphere was great and so was the food. If you have the opportunity, do visit this lovely place in Eastling and enjoy your meal!
The Wilsons (2 July 2008)
We were recently recommended this place by our favourite restaurant in Whitstable. We knew it had to be good! They know their food.
We were not disappointed, loved the place, food was excellent, only crititism would be lack of knowledge and experience with waiting staff. We were not informed that some main courses did not come with vegetables. We would have ordered if we had known.
Will certainly go back as we really enjoyed our meal, very high standard of cooking, better than all other restaurants in Faversham area!
Well done!
