Centrally located in Nottingham, The Cumin Restaurant is close to many of the city's attractions and is a more recent venture of the Anand family, well known for its restaurants. Split across two floors, the first is ideal for private functions whilst the ground floor is set for regular diners. The cooking is a treat for the taste buds and a creative menu offers some flavoursome and precisely spiced Indian curries. Start with a til jhinga, batter fried king prawns coated with sesame seeds or a meat samosa, a deep fried triangular pastry filled with spicy minced lamb. For mains, filet of tilapia cooked in a medium spiced cumin curry and chicken tikka masala perfected in rich tomato creamy gravy are extremely popular dishes of the cuisine.
