The Dovecote Restaurant

Morley Hayes, Main Road, Morley, Derby, DE7 6DG

The Morley Hayes is an 18th century farmhouse located amidst acres of rolling Derbyshire countryside, but now converted into a magnificent AA four star hotel with an 18-hole championship golf course, restaurant and bars, and wedding and conference facilities. So if you wish to 'get away from it all', simply head to the Main Road in Morley. Named after the converted dovecote it occupies, the charming AA rosette restaurant gives guests an opportunity to sample tasty English and continental cuisine in a dining area that has bare brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams. Dovecote classics of Bolsover smoked salmon, and chicken liver parfait with toasted brioche make appearances first, followed by a lightly roasted sea trout with crushed Jersey Royals, asparagus, and sorrel cream sauce, or fillet, belly and homemade sausage of local rare breed pork with spinach, spring onion mash, and calvados sauce.

Few can avoid the temptation to personally explore the chocolate delice, salted caramel, and malted milk ice cream.
