The Dysart Arms

Bowes Gate Road, Bunbury, nr Tarporley, CW6 9PH

If you enjoy dining in traditional and classic English pubs, you'll love a visit to The Dysart Arms. The village pub was built as a farmhouse in the mid-18th century and started functioning as a pub during the late 1800s. Several airy rooms surround a central bar and the interior exudes a delightful old world charm with red and black tile and wood floors complemented by light walls, old furniture, pleasingly large bookcases, and well-chosen knick-knacks. Choose to dine on the terrace or in the garden and you'll be greeted by views of the distant Peckforton Hills on one side and Beeston Castle on the other. A regularly changing menu offers a range of tasty and imaginative dishes that could include warm goats' cheese with a honey dressing, assorted sandwiches, ham hock terrine, fish and chips with mushy peas, steaks, pan-fried duck breast, and puddings such as the ubiquitous sticky toffee.
