Every inch a contemporary dining venue, The Gallery Bistro in Church Road welcomes guests with bright and lively interiors, friendly service and familiar food. Chef Peter Bohannon brings to bear his wide experience, with stints in France and Greece, on the menu. The Gallery's a short walk away from the bustle of downtown and is Wi-Fi enabled and pet friendly too. And, what's more, on Thursdays and Fridays there's live jazz and blues. Enjoy a typical English breakfast here with eggs, hash brown, sausages and bacon. Lunchtime selections include chicken pie, steak lattice pie, calf's liver and bacon, Welsh rarebit and tortilla wraps with choice of fillings. Char grilled offerings include chateaubriand, chicken and mango salad and the Gallery burger. On Sundays, it's roast with all the trimmings. Dinner specials include oven baked prawns in garlic and chilli butter, homemade liver pâté with red onion jam and wild mushrooms with fennel risotto. If a sweet treat is in order, then go for the chocolate brownie or the Gallery crumble.
