The Gandhi

33 Roman Bank, Skegness, PE25 2SN

Many Skegness locals can proudly state that they got their first taste of Indian cuisine at The Gandhi. The family-run restaurant was established in 1986, and has since become known for delicious authentic cuisine, elegant surroundings, and courteous service. By growing his very own Naga chillies, owner Kabir Ullah has given new meaning to the familiar phrase 'fresh produce grown locally'. Other fine exotic spices are used to create the menu's dishes that include some Bangladeshi and Indian regional delicacies. Starters at The Gandhi could include the familiar tandoori chicken or lesser known creations such as the Nargis kebab. For the main course, you could make a foray towards the house specialities of king prawn achar, where the seafood is slow-cooked in a rich, hot and sour pickle sauce, or the keema matar with minced lamb, fresh peas, and green chillies.

Traditional curries such as the korma, dopiaza, rogan, vindaloo, balti, and Madras strength are always available.
