The Gardeners Arms is a 16th century country pub and restaurant in the picturesque village of Alderton, surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds countryside. The rustic, homely interiors, complete with exposed brick walls, wooden flooring and comfortable furniture match the range of unpretentious, home-cooked British food served to appreciative locals, families and tourists alike.

Prepared from seasonal, locally sourced produce, fresh daily fish and poultry, the menu offers bowls of vegetarian and non-vegetarian soup, and breaded, slightly spiced whitebait served with lemon tartare sauce for starters. Mains comprise traditional favourites such as homemade steak and ale pie or beer battered fish and chips. More exotic fare includes Cajun chicken salad; chicken tikka masala served with basmati rice and naan or the house special chilli con carne. A variety of grilled steaks and risottos are also available.
