The décor is a modern warm minimalist style with Lloyd Loom furniture and crisp table linen whilst the ambiance is of sheer calm and relaxation that makes diners linger on for a long while after the plates have been cleared. It should not be a surprise therefore that the AA has awarded them 2 rosettes. A separate fish menu, available from Monday to Saturday, is the result of Executive Chef Tom Court's specialised expertise in fresh fish.

We had a fantastic two course meal there from the a la carte. They also do set menus which we didn't try but they looked like good value. I had fish cakes, which were sublime, followed by steak which was cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly and it felt like nothing was too much trouble. The Granary is a bit hard to spot from the main road but we liked the fact that it was in the countryside. We will definitely go back.
