The Grand Union
45 Woodfield Road, London, W9 2BA
As far as pubs go The Grand Union is pretty special. Originally a Victorian public house, the décor has received just the right amount of updating without ridding the place of its original character. Situated on the canal in Westbourne Park, The Grand Union is one of the best known pubs in the Notting Hill area, especially popular amongst young professionals, who appreciate the varied facets of this place for different reasons, such as a romantic evening or an after work get-together. During good weather you could perhaps enjoy an al fresco meal or a barbeque as the outside seating can take up to eighty guests at a go. A seasonally changing menu has an excellent range of Modern European dishes on offer that include the likes of salted squid and chorizo on toast with orange and bay leaf syrup and roasted Loch Duart salmon fillet with a white bean, prawn and lemon butter salad. As far as pubs go The Grand Union is pretty special.
