The Grill on The Corner - Glasgow

21-25 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 6NL

Glasgow's appetite for eating is only equalled by its capacity for drinking, and that means serious stuff, none of this poncey approach you find in other places that shall remain nameless, even if the compass is pointing south. At The Grill on the Corner, which specialises in serving steak and seafood, mainly as grills, both activities exist in perfect harmony in a building which is a real credit to essentially Victorian Glasgow. Inside the décor has a richness that matches the sauces, with plenty of wood and metal around, chandeliers dripping with faux diamonds and all the feel of an anxiety free comfort zone that will look after your needs efficiently and without too much fuss. REVIEWS OF The Grill on The Corner - Glasgow

FoodLover (25 October 2010)

I was recommended to dine at the Grill on the Corner by a good friend of mine, and I am glad that I did! My wife and our friends were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess who showed us to our seats after we sipped cocktails in their lovely bar area. When we moved through to the main dining room, the atmosphere was buzzing! We were greeted by our server, a polite and smiling young lady with curly hair who talked us through the menu and looked after us throughout the evening. We had a fabulous evening and our friends were very impressed with our choice, we will definitely go back!

It was our first visit to Glasgow and first visit to The Grill on the Corner. My husband and I were very impressed with this restaurant; if you enjoy fine quality food then this is the place for you. We started with olives and garlic rub bread which was very tasty, my husband had the salmon with minted new potato and I had the rib eye steak with homemade chips and peppercorn sauce. I would have loved to try the Kobe steak but thought it was a bit out of our price range. However I was not disappointed with my steak. By far they were the best steak I have ever had and were cooked to perfection. Our waiter even commented that the chef would be very happy with our clean plates, ha! Overall this place is awesome and I for one will definitely be planning a second visit.
