Grilled salted ox tongue, cauliflower cheese croquette, bread and butter pickles and bitter leaves, and butternut squash and thyme soup with potted brown shrimps on toast can get your evening off to a great start. Tasty specialities such as braised shoulder of English mutton with purple sprouting broccoli, and caper berries, and beef cheeks skewed in ale with clotted cream mash, roast carrots and pickled walnuts are at hand if you fancy more filling options.
