The Jolly Frog

The Todden, Leintwardine, SY7 0LX

On the edge of the pretty village of Leintwardine, the Jolly Frog Country Pub and Restaurant is but a hop and leap away from Herefordshire and overlooks the rolling Shropshire Hills. It is owned by Jayne and Mertyn Emsen, who named their pub after an ancient frog folktale. The welcoming white and grey building attracts both locals and visitors thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and excellent British and European cuisine. Regularly changing à la carte and set menus offer local meat, game and wood-fired pizza, while fish is a house speciality. Consider starting your meal with a bowl of steamed mussels with Robinson's cider, garlic and parsley before progressing to the special shellfish course that could offer Loch Fyne Angel oysters or clams, cockles and mussels with coconut cream and Marsala.

REVIEWS OF The Jolly Frog

A Fan (15 September 2005)

Consistently good food and service every time we visit and the set menu (available until 7pm) is fantastic value for money. Extensive fish menu, so always a hard choice! Dessert cheeses are tip-top too, although that's not to discourage anyone with a sweet-tooth from any of the amazing desserts on offer. Can't wait to go back!
