The Library Bar Kitchen
61 Wollaton Road, Beeston, NG9 2NN
The Library Bar Kitchen is one of several restaurants that can be found in Beeston, located a few kilometres southwest of Nottingham's city centre. And while each of those concentrates on one particular cuisine, this stylish place presents diners with an opportunity to enjoy some of the finest dishes from around the globe. The ambience is warm and contemporary, and you could lounge around with a glass of wine on their many leather stools or sofas. Light bites of falafel and marinated tomatoes, or samosas with cucumber yoghurt raita help build your appetite. If you're in a group, consider ordering one of their sharing platters, loaded with Spanish charcuterie, cheeses, Scottish smoked salmon, tomatoes, olives, and dips from the Mediterranean, and salads, nuts and couscous from the Middle East and Morocco. The Library Bar Kitchen is one of several restaurants that can be found in Beeston, located a few kilometres southwest of Nottingham's city centre. REVIEWS OF The Library Bar Kitchen
Jim (23 May 2008)
La Toque doesn’t exist anymore; it is now called The Library Bar Kitchen. The chef hasn’t changed but the menu is now best described as world tapas; a very eclectic range of small dishes such as mussels and chips, Toulouse sausage and butterbean casserole, pancetta croquettes and chorizo, fish in curry batter, Spanish omelette, pork medallions, etc. The prices are reasonable with the most expensive dish at £6. They have a deal at lunchtimes and early evenings where the dishes are at either £2.50 or £3.50. Wine is about £12 a bottle and draught beer, £2.80. I go there two or three times a week, not always to eat but just for a drink as I think it makes a pleasant refuge from the other pubs of Beeston. The staff are friendly and efficient, the décor modern and unpretentious making this an ideal place to go for a bite or to eat after work with friends.
