The Little Angel
Remenham Lane, Henley-On-Thames, RG9 2LS
Within easy reach of Henley town centre, the Henley-on-Thames train station and the river, The Little Angel is a comfortable pub and a lovely place to spend time dining, drinking or playing cricket on their very own ground. The focus is clearly on providing customers with excellent modern English fare, so whether you're looking for quick turn around lunch during the busy working week, or a long and leisurely afternoon over good food, a good bottle of wine and great company, The Little Angel could be just the place for you. Consider an oak roast salmon sandwich, herb mayo, salad and fries if you visit them at lunchtime, while in the evening you could start with tian of white crab, guacamole and bloody Mary sauce before moving on to pan-roasted rump of lamb, asparagus, rosemary mash and chorizo jus; king scallops with olive mash and pea velouté or any of the flavoursome steaks, pastas or brochettes.Within easy reach of Henley town centre, the Henley-on-Thames train station and the river, The Little Angel is a comfortable pub and a lovely place to spend time dining, drinking or playing cricket on their very own ground.

REVIEWS OF The Little Angel
Out of Town Visitor (10 February 2010)
What a find! Living in West London, Notting Hill, my husband and I are always looking to get away from it all for a day and found this place on our travels. Henley on Thames is only 45 minutes up the M4 or M40 and is gorgeous in the spring and summer, but we trundled off there only last week for a bit of a stroll on the beautiful river banks and some lunch. We've always passed The Little Angel by but decided to pop in on the off chance initially just for a drink. You know when it's one of those really annoying things when you realise, why on earth didn't we know about this before! Yup, this place kicks the rest of the places in Henley up the bum. Fantastic inside, big, pretty, welcoming, good music but most of all, the food! As good as any London Gastro pub you will go to. The place was buzzing, full and had a really lovely vibe to it. We’re definitely coming back on one of our warmer visits with friends for a lunch on a day out. Their garden looks over Henley Cricket Club's pitch, so I can just see us with a few pitchers of Pimms clapping and guffawing through a glorious lunch whilst listening to ball on willow. Actually, I'd possibly think of doing a boat trip in the morning just over the bridge, then walk over bridge to lunch - perfect! I had to tell you all about it - it's a gem. Put it on your list if you haven't already. Oh, did I tell you, I do PR for them ‘only joking’. It looks like they're dog friendly too, so we'll bring our pooch in next time.

This is an excellent restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and good, relaxed décor. Good wine list and the eggs Benedict and the mussels, when on-obviously, are amazing. They catered for six friends and me for a ‘grown up’ hen party and were friendly and really good natured with the waiter joining us for a drink. Good place to take parents and friends alike. Only once had a complaint about a dish which was instantly replaced. It’s highly recommended.
