The Lonsdale

48 Lonsdale Road, London, W11 2DE

The Lonsdale opened its doors in 2002 and is an exceptional combination of a lounge restaurant and an award winning cocktail bar. The trendy lighting and cosy seating breathes sophistication and it has managed to establish itself as both a comfortable and phenomenal venue. Modern flavours are the order of the day and the menu runs from easy nibbles like marinated and roasted Tamworth pork ribs, to gastronomic delights like roast rack of lamb with sweet potato and coriander purée. Beef is supplied by Allens of Mayfair, Britain's oldest butcher and the steaks arrive with a choice of peppercorn, béarnaise, grain mustard or blue cheese sauce. Desserts stay in the comfort zone so expect to see a sticky toffee pudding, banoffee pie or crème caramel.

REVIEWS OF The Lonsdale

A Rammal (13 March 2008)

I was dragged to this bar for a friend’s birthday and was a little dubious. The drinks were amazing and apparently they are well known for this. However, it was when I ordered some food that the real surprise came. I ordered some of the small plates, and each one was delicious, so much so that I went back mid-week to treat my wife to dinner. It was delectable and they had a magician doing magic at our table – a complete bonus.
