We ate at the Magpies this Saturday. We too have also struggled to find a decent restaurant in Lincolnshire. The pre-dinner aperitifs were a welcome surprise and were very tasty. The meal was superb, in particular the fallow deer, cooked exactly as requested, the halibut and also the superb cheeseboard. The service was excellent, with nothing being too much trouble. At the end of the night our taxi was for quite some time, causing the staff to have to wait on, but this was not a problem and we were not made to feel uncomfortable. We will definitely be eating her again. Highly recommended!

We have been living in East Lincolnshire for over 2 years and had been struggling to find a really top class restaurant. Well, we found it tonight. Classy surroundings, excellent unfussy service and the food - What a pleasure! From the tantalizing amuse bouches to the sea bass topped Thai fishcake, the duck - slightly pink as requested and a dessert to die for - creme brulee in a pastry case topped by a cointreau ice cream. This was a quality evening, value for money and we will be back.
