Eponymous celebrity chef Marco Pierre White's steakhouse, bar and grill at the Doubletree by Hilton Chester offers guests a luxurious intimate setting with good traditional British food and select wines. The stylish ambience brings it all together to create a mellow mood.
Along with the finest quality locally sourced steaks, the menu features grilled and roast meats, fish mainboards and classic English puddings. Dishes such as pottage of mussels, gravadlax, omelette Arnold Bennet and dressed Cornish crab set the stage for the evening. Now that the traditional ingredients and flavours have got the gastric juices flowing, continue with curried sea bass, 28-day aged fillet steak with sauce béarnaise, English rose veal or Herdwick loin of mutton. If it appeals to you, indulge the sweet tooth with Cambridge burnt cream, rice pudding with prunes and Armagnac or banana mess. The wine and champagne list has been specially compiled to harmonise with the menu and offers a varied selection to suit any occasion.

You cannot fault this place, it really is the ultimate steak house! Food is excellent, surroundings are very Marco Pierre White with his trademark photographs dotted about the dining room as large as life. Wine choices are good and for a celeb chef restaurant, priced reasonably!
