The Old Plow

Flowers Bottom, Speen, HP27 0PZ

Famous visitors and previous owners have ensured that The Old Plow has a rich and varied history which is evident in the charm and character of this 17th century establishment. Located in the Chiltern Hills in the peaceful hamlet of Flowers Bottom, this is a modern bistro and restaurant cloaked in a pleasing old world package. Small and intimate affairs such as weddings take on a new sheen while even the most stressful corporate events could become peaceful and interesting. The bistro menu can be viewed on the blackboard and you could try the wild crayfish tails with linguine pasta and a seafood sauce, while more formal meals in the main restaurant could include tournado of fillet of veal with wild mushrooms.

REVIEWS OF The Old Plow

Mike Hewitt (4 February 2008)

It has fabulous food, a friendly welcome, a quiet relaxing and intimate atmosphere. It is well off the beaten track and worth coming back to. It has been family run for many years and is consistently good.
