The frenetically popular wine bar and restaurant - close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre - is a real favourite with the theatre-going fraternity, and not only because it's handy. Service, even at peak times is commendable and cheerful, the food is reliable and tasty and the ambience is just what you would expect in a place which caters essentially for the audience rather than the cast. A menu that thoroughly tempts is part of the secret of its success, with dishes like salmon fishcakes on a bed of spinach with sorrel sauce or wild mushroom risotto with fresh parmesan, and pork and chive sausages with mashed potatoes and onion gravy or lamb shank Kleftico for carnivores.Bistro, Pizza & Pasta

Last evening we walked along Sheep Street and found Oppo. With no booking we were ushered in, seated and served with the most delicious food. I started with a trio of salmon and fell in love. This was followed by braised beef in Guinness with herb dumplings. My partner had scallops followed by smoked haddock, and she was very impressed. The service was great, the atmosphere was alive, but not loud and the food sublime. Lady luck shone on us when we found Oppo amongst the many eateries on Sheep Street. Thanks for a great evening meal. May we wish all at Oppo every success.

This place is simply excellent. The members of staff were pleasant, friendly and attentive. The venue was ideal, right in the heart of Stratford near the theatres. Service was quick and the food was divine. I definitely recommend this place and hope to return soon.
