The Orangery
1 Harbour Exchange Square, London, E14 9GE
The Orangery is a light and airy sanctuary for hungry diners in the Dockland's Harbour Exchange complex. Its location makes it a popular meeting place for the local business community also - whether for a cappuccino, a pizza or just a drink at their bar. The restaurant is divided between a more formal dining experience, serving a full menu, and an area serving lighter snacks and salads for those with less time on their hands. If you happen to pop in at breakfast time, sample their fresh muffins, Danish pastries or croissants among other choices such as smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or bacon and sausage sandwiches. Their list of starters offers dishes such as hot butter potted shrimps on toast, Parma ham and melon and an appetising prawn and salmon cocktail. The Orangery is a light and airy sanctuary for hungry diners in the Dockland's Harbour Exchange complex. Their list of starters offers dishes such as hot butter potted shrimps on toast, Parma ham and melon and an appetising prawn and salmon cocktail. There is ample choice for the vegetarians as well - like homemade vegetable soup and stuffed mushrooms. Filling pastas might include the well known spaghetti Bolognese, tagliatelle with tomato and basil or the creamy penne with four cheeses. The Restaurant also serves an array of pizzas, all freshly made to order, as can be found in their Delfino pizzeria in Mayfair.
Mains continue the momentum with calves liver and bacon, grilled chicken breast served with lemon and thyme sauce or filets of Dover sole with prawn and lobster sauce.
The food is complemented by their wine list offering a range of choices to suit the food you order. Desserts cover chocolate mousse, spotted dick with custard as well as a selection of ripe cheese. The restaurant service ends at 7pm, after which The Orangery is available for private hire.
