The main dishes include whole rainbow trout drenched in garlic butter and served with sauté potatoes, Isle of Bute sirloin steak served with onion rings, and chicken in black bean sauce with noodles.

A number of award winning real ales are available - as you'd expect from a CAMRA approved pub - as well as a solid wine list to indulge in along with the food.

REVIEWS OF The Oystercatcher

Bryan Duncan (16 February 2008)

I have visited the Oystercatcher on numerous occasions over the past years. The new owners have stamped their own mark on the place. We headed for the restaurant and immediately felt at ease with the open fires and friendly welcome from Ken and Joanne Coley. The food was varied and extremely tasty - clearly cooked by a passionate Italian in the kitchen. I had a perfectly cooked rib eye steak and a pint of the local Loch Fyne real ale. It was a great experience and a reasonable price and I’ll be back.
