Nestled in the quiet and picturesque village of Ivy Hatch, The Plough is situated in a 230 year old structure, renovated to match and provide for modern comfort, whilst retaining its original charm and character. There is a dining terrace to the front of the building and gardens to the rear, surrounded by the local cobnut trees.

At The Plough, sourcing quality ingredients is as important as the cooking, and the best locally produced farm products are used in the preparations. A daily changing menu that focuses on seasonality includes the likes of ham hock and chicken terrine, with homemade piccalilli and watercress, and braised lamb shank with mashed potato, buttered spring greens and red wine reduction. Amongst seafood specials you might come across, rope grown Shetland steamed mussels in white wine, cream and saffron or grilled Cornish sardines on a toast with oven dried tomatoes and sage and anchovy butter.

Close with the classic sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream or choose from a selection local cheeses.
