I met an old friend for lunch and we picked the Red House pub because it was halfway between our houses. What luck - a lovely log fire, friendly welcome and prompt service! We had a starter of potato skins and dip - very tasty and a very generous portion, even shared between two! Then French onion soup - totally home-made with lots of onions and rich liquer, and a steak sandwich which turned out to be a meal in itself! The coffee afterwards was smooth and hot. Fantastic value - will go again.

What a gem of a restaurant, charming ambiance, very welcoming staff, very good food and we met the owner Sandra who was also charming! We will definitely be making further visits with family and friends.
