The Red Lion strives to serve good, honest English food at prices which are comfortable and by and large it succeeds. Old Oxford sausages with spicy red cabbage and mash is about as traditional as they come, followed by chocolate tart with home-made ice cream. Hmmmm, life doesn't get much better than that and with house wine at £11.95 you can go home with a clear conscience.British

Ray and Sue have picked this pub up off the floor. They serve excellent beers, wines and food. They arrived in Chalgrove 18 months ago and without advertising have established themselves as hosts ‘par excellence’. They are both award winning chefs, and decided to go the personal recommendation route, the results speak for themselves, why not, like us, give them a try?

This is a superb village pub with welcoming staff, a great atmosphere, and an excellent range of wines and beers with top-quality food. What else could you ask for?
