The Refectory is a very old and a very attractive building, always spic and span inside. The staff are very attentive and friendly, and both the menu and the wine list offer interesting choices, which means it's very hard to decide what to order, but they've even allowed for that with a mix of starters to share. Several real ales are always on offer, and always in good condition. There are special offers, like fish and chips and a bottle of sauvignon for £20 on Fridays, and house wine from £9.95. I really can't find anything to criticize; they've pretty much got it right. The real strength is the atmosphere and style of service, which implies that it is very well managed.
