The Riverside Inn at Cound benefits from one of the most attractive positions in the beautiful county of Shropshire as it sits on a bend on the River Severn, but well up the bank, so no fear of flooding, only seven miles from Shrewsbury. They are proud of their use of local produce, with eggs that come from their own free range hens, and also try to make everything in-house, even the ice cream. Ten of us dined at The Riverside on a Saturday in celebration of my wife's birthday. From start to finish the evening and food was superb. The members of staff are so friendly and efficient; a number of our party had not dined there before but everyone said the food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you Riverside!

Having read the negative review about the bland steak I had to write as we dine there at least once a week. The atmosphere, service and location are superb. The food is the best for its freshness, flavour, quality and presentation. I have had the mince beef pie three times this month already - it was so tasty. We have tried other pub food in the surrounding area. We've felt that they don't compare and have learnt our lesson. The Riverside Inn is like a comfortable pair of shoes - wonderful.
