The Star and Dove
75-78 St Lukes Road, Totterdown, Bristol, BS3 4RY
Having worked as the Head Chef with Jamie Oliver at Fifteen, Eamon Fullalove's cooking at The Star and Dove takes a broadly Italian perspective with his trademark tasting menu on the first Thursday of each month. There are two separate dining areas; the bar downstairs serves up some hearty pub classics while the restaurant upstairs is an epitome of calm, exuding warm radiance with blue walls, parquet floors and damask linen. The menu may start off with a chacuterie of chorizo, Serrano and salami and then move on to chicken liver parfait with toasted foccacia apple or grilled tiger prawns with mixed vegetables. Pappadelle pasta served with guinea fowl, rosemary and mascarpone and gnocchi with sage and pine nuts are some of their other specialities.Having worked as the Head Chef with Jamie Oliver at Fifteen, Eamon Fullalove's cooking at The Star and Dove takes a broadly Italian perspective with his trademark tasting menu on the first Thursday of each month. Formerly known as Cumberland Inn, this once careworn pub on St Lukes Road has now been transformed into a real gem in the Bristol area.

REVIEWS OF The Star and Dove
Helen (4 August 2008)
A friend and I went along to The Star and Dove after my friend recommended it and we weren't disappointed - fantastic food and great people. There was also a restaurant upstairs, which I'll go back to try. We had a great night of good food, atmosphere and even better wine.
