Situated on the Union Canal opposite 60 Blomfield Road, The Summerhouse is a sleek and modern dining space is well known for casual dining and is open from April to November every year. Guests can enjoy a meal while taking in the beautiful sights at the water's edge. The restaurant's menu is an eclectic mix of lighter fare, primarily seafood, complemented by more substantial traditional dishes. They are prepared from fresh catch of the day and quality meat and poultry sourced locally.

The menu includes starters of organic smoked salmon with capers and soda bread and crispy calamari with tartare sauce and lemon, which can be eaten with niçoise salad- seared tuna, green  beans, black olives, potato and quails egg. Main course choices include tagliatelle with prawns, chilli, garlic and slow-cooked cherry tomatoes, whole sea bass with butter and caper sauce or beer battered haddock and chips served with mushy peas and tartare sauce.

Guests can sip on fine wines and champagnes with their meals while enjoying the magnificent view.
