I recently ate at the Travellers Rest and I didn't find it very pleasant. I went on a weekday evening and the staff seemed to be pre-occupied in something else. When the food came out it wasn't very warm, was quite obviously bought in from a food supplier and heated in the microwave.

The restaurant is brilliant. The two menus let you decide how you will eat, posh or casual and the warm welcome you get is brilliant. The rhubarb pudding is excellent. I give it ten out of ten. It is good, all around.
