The Triton Inn

Ellerker Road, Brantingham, Brough, nr Beverley, HU15 1QE

At the foot of the stunning Brantingham Dale on Ellerker Road lies a familiar landmark that dates back to over 200 years, The Triton Inn's vintage façade is a sign of its advanced years, but inside its been given a slick makeover and is full of conviviality. Diners receive a warm welcome on arrival, presumably an indication of what is in store. The cooking essentially imbues classic British techniques and all dishes are individually prepared using fresh ingredients. For starters it could be Triton's traditional fishcakes or parcels of smoke salmon and prawns. Healthy eating options are certainly a cause for excitement for weight watchers with seafood pasta and chicken Caesar salad being markers for a nourishing meal, and conventional winners like pork belly, beef stroganoff and steak and ale pie feature amongst main courses.

Triton Inn is a popular place for families to congregate at weekends and the secret garden to the rear is a cosy spot to dine.

REVIEWS OF The Triton Inn

Susan Hall (25 August 2009)

I hadn’t been to The Triton for years, but on Sunday we were pleased that we did. It has very helpful staff, lovely refurbishment done, and terrific food. Sunday lunch was clearly all freshly made and the other options of desserts were very good too. Nice terrace at the front and it was good to see they have kept the 'secret garden' at the back. We like the Triton for our family get togethers as it’s so easy to park and to get to. As the portions are large, we wanted to go for a nice walk afterwards but were too stuffed to do so. I really enjoyed it and we will be back.
