REVIEWS OF The Waterfront
Rob (31 October 2010)
I have been laughing reading the negative reviews. The Waterfront has glass walls, so you can see if it's busy, and therefore you have to wait. In my experience, The Waterfront is one of the best gastro pubs in South West London. Not only does the manager Brian remember your name, the entire staff do, and they also remember any menu tweaks or favourite drinks. Hot chocolate on a Sunday, malbec on a Friday night etc. The food is always good, especially the Sundays roasts and steaks and the seafood is very fresh and well priced. With the area this place is in, it is no surprise that there are very expensive choices of food and wine, so be wary before just ordering a certain wine you know by name as it may be a pricier import etc. This is a great goal from a Sunday walk along the Thames and back and is a lot more relaxing than the near alternatives. Overall, treat this place as a barometer of social activity. Expect it to be busy on a busy night and rely on it to be a calm, tea sipping retreat on a Wednesday morning. That way you will always have a good time and want to come back. Give it a try yourself. I have no complaints, actually that is a lie. I complained about the food being cold once on a very busy hot summers day. The food was replaced and we had complementary drinks.

Nando's - Clapham
With quality food, friendly staff, quick service and excellent value for money, Nando's is a great place to eat. Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
