Great place to eat, both lunch, dinner and light bites. Very friendly staff plus selection of real ales.

Located just minutes from the A1 North and Southbound, lies the utterly delightful Wheatsheaf Inn at Dry Doddington, in rural Lincolnshire. An attractive-looking pub, it sits on the brow of a hill, overlooking the heavily leaning spire of St James Church - Lincolnshire's answer to the leaning tower of Pisa! Sit outside and enjoy the rural ambience, or once inside the pub. The staff are warm and welcoming with a wide range of draught beers, lagers and a fine wine list. The specials board is changed daily, depending on the fresh produce that Dan, the chef-proprietor, can source and it is truly mouth-watering. A talented chef, Dan delights in creating restaurant quality food at very reasonable prices. The main menu is changed regularly and a sumptuous three course lunch can be had on Sundays. Don't leave without trying one of Dan's amazing puddings - I had champagne jelly with fresh English strawberries! The atmosphere is wonderful, welcoming and cosy with tasteful decor. In fact, I'm not sure I should tell you how good it is, in case you steal my table!
