I went there for Christmas lunch - fabulous! I'm a qualified experienced chef and I can tell you the food I had was brilliant. I had the pumpkin soup and the turkey dinner which was the nicest dinner I've really enjoyed that I haven't made myself in years! I loved the ambience of the place and we sat by the festive log fireplace. The staff were really friendly and not stuffy - the only slight criticism I had from a management point of view having had my own hundred seater a la carte restaurant is that the staff should have been smartened up for the occasion. I even met the chef who had been up since 4 AM preparing lunch. I loved his homemade orange choccy truffles - well done folks. Go and check it out!

The service was exceptional just enough attention in order that you felt special. A warm spacious and comforting environment allows you to hear your guests speak and not be distracted by the conversation at the next table. The portions were generous and the food was excellent and well presented. However, I am a vegetarian who does not eat fish and there was no choice - only one dish, but it was innovative and tasted fantastic. I would ask them to consider that there are more than cheese dishes on the menu for non fish vegetarians as the starter and a main - both containing cheese. However despite the lack of choice for vegetarians, I would still go again and would recommend to friends and family.
