Thorverton Arms

Thorverton, Exeter, EX5 5NS

The Thorverton Arms, a 16th century coaching inn, is located in the centre of the beautiful village of Thorverton in Devon. It is in the heart of some extremely attractive English countryside and yet only seven miles from Exeter and eight from the major local town of Tiverton. The Thorverton Arms boasts a welcoming bar where you will find a large selection of real ales, wines and spirits; there is a separate restaurant that serves proper homemade classic English food, all sourced from local Devon suppliers and offered at sensible prices. There is a sizable south-facing beer garden, a large car park and, if you fancy staying over, there are comfortable en-suite letting rooms. No wonder that they have been shortlisted for The Publican's Food Pub of the Year in 2008 and won The Publican's Food Newcomer of the Year Award in 2006.

REVIEWS OF Thorverton Arms

Denis (15 February 2009)

We had a lovely Valentine's meal. It’s a great village pub with lots of atmosphere. The food was delicious and at just £19.95 per head it was great value for money. Although extremely busy, the waiting staff did all they could to make sure my partner and I had an enjoyable evening. We'll be back.

Styubud (29 January 2008)

We booked at the last minute on the night that the staff were off to Topsham for their Christmas Party, but the staff, including the chef, couldn't have been more obliging. The food was beautifully cooked and it gave the impression that they cared about the service and really wanted our satisfaction. We will definitely be back.
