Three Horseshoes, The Description

Another member of the Huntsbridge Group, with the same open approach to the business, which describes its culinary policy as Mediterranean/Global, a very apt summary. Whilst you nibble on a bowl of warm olives or pork scratchings even, you may contemplate rare tuna nori rolls with nuoc cham and green mango salad. Salads can be particularly memorable; leek, potato, rocket, and chorizo with soft-boiled egg and bottarga for instance.

Try the pan-fried halibut with mashed peas, broad beans and a sprinkling of black olives, served on a plate slicked with mint oil and tapenade. Follow with pannacotta served with dark cherries and you will see that you are in the hands of experts. As with others in the Group the drinking of wine is intelligently tackled. There are over 30 bottles at £20 or under, with 16 house wines starting at around £12 a bottle. Pay special attention to the dessert wines.

Fixed Dinner

  • £10.95 (2 courses) to £15.95 (3 courses)

Your Reviews of Three Horseshoes, The

Anthony (5 October 2008)

I have visited this restaurant twice, and on both occasions have found the food to be of excellent quality, and well served. The dishes with Italian influences are the most rewarding, and their desserts are excellent. Portions, however, are sometimes meagre in relation to the prices, which are on the high side. This place is definitely worth trying out at least once.

Linda (13 March 2008)

This restaurant and its staff pulled out all the stops for me on a last minute booking for lunch for 20 people. Not only did they only have less than an hour before the party arrived but they put together a fantastic menu, with choices, for me. They phoned me back within 10 minutes with a menu which far exceeded my expectations. The feedback I got from the guests was all positive. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to eat, pleasant atmosphere and nice surroundings. Thanks again.
