Tilleys Bistro

3 North Parade Passage, Bath, BA1 1NX

Tucked away in a narrow, picturesque passage Tilleys Bistro is a source of delight to a regular and discerning clientele who enjoy its ambiance and air of quiet confidence. Whether it is the pre-theatre crowd teeming in around 6.00pm or those who like to grab a late lunch at 2.00pm, there is ample parking space for all and you may find that two courses suffice; helpings are generous, prices likewise. The confit of Gressingham duck may appeal amongst starters, though you may also be tempted by smooth chicken liver and Cognac pâté served with Melba toast. The crepe filled with minced lamb, onion, tomato, aubergine, garlic and cinnamon are beautifully prepared with just the right degree of resistance, while the fried pork tenderloin and mushrooms in a brandy, cream, and Dijon mustard and soft green peppercorn sauce is also sumptuous.

REVIEWS OF Tilleys Bistro

Pete (14 April 2009)

I had lunch there over the Easter break 2009. Nothing special about the food served at this restaurant. Price was okay and service was good. It was exactly what it said on the menu, no attention to presentation and nothing that would want to make me eat there again.
